Sprinkles vs. Georgetown Cupcake

We had a lot of free time in the evening once we were done volunteering at the agency. We also didn’t rent a car so we learned to navigate the metro and bus systems… which took a bit of time- let me tell ya. Anyway, after getting lost for five hours on Monday night we figured the routes out and thankfully things were easier for the rest of the week. My dad always said that getting lost in a city is the only real way to know how to get around. But that’s besides that point…once we figured out the bus systems we got to go to Beverly Hills. Do you know what’s in Beverly Hills?!?! SPRINKLES CUPCAKES!

So for those of you that don’t know… this huge cupcake trend thing? Yea- Sprinkles started it. Way before Georgetown Cupcakes (don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved them for a long time too) Sprinkles was crankin out some super cute and delicious cupcakes complete with adorable mini apple juice bottles and fresh milk poured into the cute to-go cups. To-go cups make everything better, in my opinion. Case in point- Tervis Tumblers. But that’s another story.

cute little to-go cup of milk : )

So Sprinkles… I walked in and this is what I saw…

Cupcake Heaven!

After much debate most of us ended up with the Irish Creme Cupcake. Dark chocolate with Bailey’s Irish Creme Frosting. Delish? Understatement. And don’t forget the apple juice…

I wish I kept the bottle...

The good news (and relevancy of this post…) Sprinkles has just opened in DC! Watch out Georgetown Cupcakes… your competition just moved to the east coast.

Back to reality,
